Masking Masking is a technique which makes images look like they are behind other images. The most common use is to put flowers behind one another, or leaves behind flowers. First stamp your image to be in the front. Next, stamp the same image on scrap paper. Cut out the scrap image right on the edge of the image. Place the scrap image, also called the mask, over the original image. Then stamp the second image (which you want to be behind the first image) so that part of it is stamped onto the mask. When you remove the mask it appears that the second image you stamped is behind the first. |
